Conclusions

• W3C's UI technologies form a set of tools
• They are all fairly mature by now
  • some of them are recommendations (SVG, XHTML Basic)
  • some of them are almost there (SVG Tiny and Basic)
  • some of them are still to be worked on (XHTML 2, XFrames)
• For all of them tools and implementation emerge
• Greatest challenge for coming years: integration
  • current mechanism is based on (lots of..) plugins
  • usage of XML is a key
  • example: integration of MathML, XHTML, and SVG in Amaya
