2006-11-21: W3C welcomes Mr. V.N. Shukla as new Manager of the W3C India Office. Mr. R.K. Verma who lead the office since it was launched 1 year ago left the CDAC. W3C thanks Mr. R.K. Verma for one year of fruitful cooperation.
2006-11-20: As W3C annonced in the news the European W3C Symposium on eGovernment will be held on 1-2 February 2007, in Gijón, Asturias, Spain. The symposium is organized by the W3C Spanish Office and Fundación CTIC, and supported by the Principality of Asturias Government. (News archive)
2006-09-01: As W3C announced in the news the W3C German/Austrian Office will will hold a W3C Print Symposium 2006 on 17 October at the Heidelberg Print Media Academy in Heidelberg, Germany.
2006-06-01: Ivan Herman, who served as Head of Offices since January 2001, leaves his position to take new responsibilities at W3C. W3C has named Daniel Dardailler to the position of Head of W3C Offices effective 1 June. Daniel will continue his roles as W3C Associate Chair for Europe, liaison for international standards bodies, while serving as Head of Offices.
2006-04-04: W3C is pleased to announce the opening of the W3C China Office in Beijing, China. The Office is hosted at the School of Computer Science & Engineering of Beihang University in Beijing, China. Jinpeng Huai is Office Manager. Kazuyuki Ashimura, Steve Bratt, Marie-Claire Forgue, Ivan Herman, Richard Ishida, and Dean Jackson are among those attending the opening ceremonies on 27-28 April in Beijing. 2006-02-25 The Indian Office has a new staff member in the person of Manoj Tiwari. Manoj is a Post Graduate in Information Technology and has been associated with W3C Indian office team at CDAC Noida for past few months. He will act the Office Coordinator of the Indian W3C office.

Jason is an experienced verbal and written technical communicator with over 10 years experience in documentation design and development, Jason is also a practiced Web designer and content author, and technical marketing professional.

2006-01-12: W3C’s Offices hold their annual meeting on 09-10 January in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, at the hosting institution of the W3C Benelux Office, CWI. Issues related to membership, Office events, outreach, plans for the future of the W3C Office program for 2006 and beyond were discussed during the meeting. (See also larger photo)
