Created attachment 873 [details] An alternative proposal for WS-Eventing metadata Event descriptions and notification WSDLs are considered as monolithic documents, that can be attached to an event source (in the case of the event descriptions) or to a pair {event source, notification format} (in the case of notification WSDLs), either through inlining or through WS-Mex references. This is much less flexible than usual mechanisms used to reference specific constructs in WSDL (where QNames are used) or in WS-Policy (where URI + ids are used). In addition, the retrieval of this information through WS-Mex is quite cumbersome. The attached document presents an alternative approach through the use of sample WSDLs.
