We discussed in one of the past conf calls that we should acknowledge the contributions to SML/SML-IF specifications by past members. Currently, the spec does this indirectly/collectively as follows: --- The editors acknowledge the members of the Service Modeling Language Working Group, the members of other W3C Working Groups, and industry experts in other forums who have contributed directly or indirectly to the process or content of creating this document. --- At least for past members, if the working group agrees, we should acknowledge them individually.
Proposal: Add the following at the end of section "G. Acknowledgements". --- Past members of the Service Modeling Language Working Group: <list of past members> ---
Fix per comment #1 and suggestion from MSM: we list (a) the current membership of the WG at the time we go to Last Call, and (b) previous members of this WG. Also (c) if appropriate, other names of people who have never officially been members of the W3C WG
Added the text shown below at the end of the Acknowledgements section. The names were taken from the member submission draft authors list. ------ The Service Modeling Language Working Group has benefited in its work from the participation and contributions of a number of people not currently members of the Working Group, including in particular those named below. Dave Ehnebuske (IBM), Jon Hass (Dell), Steve Jerman (Cisco), Heather Kreger (IBM), Vincent Kowalski (BMC), Milan Milenkovic (Intel), Bryan Murray (HP), Phil Prasek (HP), Junaid Saiyed (EMC), Harm Sluiman (IBM), Bassam Tabbara (Microsoft), Vijay Tewari (Intel), William Vambenepe (HP), Marv Waschke (CA), Andrea Westerinen (Microsoft). Affiliations given above are those current at the time of their work with the working group.
resolution (conf call on 4/17/2008): resolve as fixed. The WG reviewed and agreed with the list of names.
