ISSUE-285: Align rendered rows within a region to each other, and the set to the region

multiRowAlign

Align rendered rows within a region to each other, and the set to the region

State:
CLOSED
Product:
TTML2
Raised by:
Nigel Megitt
Opened on:
2013-10-23
Description:
Incorporate functionality such as that provided by ebutts:multiRowAlign, described in EBU Tech 3350 [1] with detail in Appendix A, to allow rendered rows of text to be aligned to each other, and for the set then to be aligned as per the existing tts:textAlign attribute. An example would be to left align each row of text displayed, with each other, and then to centre the set of rows overall. This enhances readability and is a common subtitling display practice in use today.

Allow use of tts:textAlign on 'span' element [1], which causes span to use inline-block display semantics, thus allowing separate specification of outer alignment (on p) and inner alignment (on span).
