Charter
The HTML Working Group is chartered firstly to describe, and secondly
to develop, the HyperText Markup Language (HTML). The group's work is to be
based on existing practice on the Internet, and will make due reference to
the SGML standard.
HTML 2.0
This is now all but finished, and is being advanced as a Proposed Standard.
HTML 3.0
This extends HTML to add support for tables, text flow around captioned
figures, mathematical equations, and support for style sheets. It draws
upon previous work on HTML+
