Argments against using <>
- These characters are already used
by SGML.
(But it is pointed out, we can't
exclude every set of characters used
by some markup. Of course SGML has
escaping mechanisms to allow <> to
be expressed)
Editor's note: The fervent reaction
against <> seems to be from those
who mix plain text and SGML. The
ditor disapproves of this practice,
and feels that one should know what
one is dealing with at any time.
