Keeping change logs up to date

please keep them up to date :)

Branches to copy aria-common into

https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-aria-editors/2018Dec/0002.html

none other for APG

Acknowledgements and authors

Must list ¨editors¨ in masthead\

can list other contributors, respec supports ¨authors¨

but should limit credits in masthead, it´s pretty visible so should be major credits, and don´t want that section too long

can have whatever credits you want in Acknowledgements section

typically credit participants of group, active participants, commenters, etc.

can have sub-headings as desired

sometimes might credit authors of particular sections

APG has current and former editors, different for each version

can also list former editors, with a date until they stopped

<jemma> https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/blob/master/common/acknowledgements.html

what about listing what people did by their name in acknowledgments?

not usual in W3C docs, but no rules against it

hard to maintain, but can have value if there is interest in it

by doing on pull request basis at merge time wouldn´t be too hard

<jemma> <h3>Acknowledgments</h3> for general

<jemma> <h3>Special Acknowledgments</h3> for specific contribution

<jemma> in https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/blob/master/common/acknowledgements.html?

put list of their contributions as comma-separated list after a colon e.g.,

Name (affiliation): contribution, contribution

MC to finish splitting acknowledgements

<jemma> active participants of task force category option.

MCK to propose acknowledments sections

APG 1.1 updated Note

Plan to publish APG 1.1 Note 22 Jan

CfC to open 14 Jan close 21 Jan

sort out improved acknoweldgements as well

Next 1.2 round

targeting every 2 - 3 months

next one should be before CSUN

so week of March 4

Next meeting

Next meeting: 16 January 2018
