ipolikof: Ongoing transition process at W3C

Approving test cases

ipolikof: Peter has raised issue 85 on missing test case

<ipolikof> PROPOSED: Approve all test cases

+1

<sandro> http://w3c.github.io/data-shapes/data-shapes-test-suite/#validate-rdf-data-tests

@sandro: we have failures, does this require more scrutiny

hknublau: The Inria implementation only covers SHACL Core.

<ipolikof> PROPOSED: Approve all test cases with no failures

@sandro: Implementers should sign off that tests look OK while they don't implement them.

+1

Nicky: We simply didn't implement these features (e.g. property paths).

TallTed: It's just a matter of checking whether the tests look right.

RESOLUTION: Approve all test cases with no failures

<sandro> Nicky: We didn't implement paths, so nearly all the failures are due to that

<sandro> TallTed: maybe change that report to 'not implemented'

TallTed: Could change them to "not implemented" in the report

ipolikof: Leaving to Nicky to reconfirm

<TallTed> PROPOSED: Approve remaining tests after Nicky confirms only result is "not implemented", tests look OK

<dallemang> I have another meeting I need to get to

Subqueries must return all potentially pre-bound variables, except shapesGraph and currentShape which are optional as stated in 5.3.1

<ipolikof> PROPOSED: Add to Appendix A an editorial comment: Subqueries must return all potentially pre-bound variables, except shapesGraph and currentShape which are optional as stated in 5.3.1

<ipolikof> https://github.com/w3c/data-shapes/issues/85

ipolikof: Do we really need a test case for the optional $shapesGraph, $currentShape variables?

TallTed: The point of this part of the process is that each feature is specified precisely enough

ipolikof: requires more investigation

Formal objections

ipolikof: Explanation of Peter's new F.O.
... Peter feels a new CR is needed.
... we are not in a position to be forced to create a new CR at this stage.

WG Notes

ipolikof: Suggest review by everyone before next week, then decide to publish
... Holger to send email to WG list about them.

<TallTed> ipolikof: adjourned
