Timeline check

Practices and Primer pending

ARIA spec: still need WG approval

Commit history after branch merge

can merge in a way that preserves commits, or squashes them

defaults is now to squash

has caused loss of commit messages after branch deleted

JD takes advantage of this to clean up whitespace and stuff before merge

discussion also happens not directly relevant to why the branch is being merged

but Matt wanted some history

MC suggest squashing better, but need procedures to preserve commits locally if desired

maybe keep branch deletes on server from killing it on your client

When to remove editorial notes

Is there a time editorial notes are removed?

MC cleans them from CR and later, makes sure they´re appropriate to the stage

doesn´t do for WD

editors can do at their judgement

also want dates in the ednotes?

<Zakim> joanie, you wanted to ask why

JD: consumer of date?

MB: I don´t dig through git history routinely

JD: date in comment?

MB: visible date might help a reviewer

<ShaneM> do people use class="ednote" for editorial ntoes?

<clown> ShaneM: I do

<Zakim> ShaneM, you wanted to ask about a potential feature

SM: respec feature to suppress?

MC: not a big editorial burden, and I do it context-sensitive at later maturities

<ShaneM> <div datetime="alskdaslkjd" class="ednote">

<MichielBijl> +1

maybe a Respec feature request to output that if present, so would have consistent presentation

<joanie> +1

RESOLUTION: editors should clear editorial notes when they see the need. Publishing contact will clear at PR and Rec.
... no requirement to date ednotes, but allowed. Ideal to have common format.

Changes to AXAPI names in mapping table https://github.com/w3c/aria/issues/399#issuecomment-225467723

JK will update the docs

want to make sure edits don´t collide

Re-org not happening for 2 weeks at least, along with ARIA 1.1 publication

so ok to do from that perspective before then

(MC will coordinate specific timing and ¨hands off¨ period with editors when doing the re-org)

<ShaneM> https://github.com/w3c/respec/issues/829

<technical nittie gritties>

<clown> suggest for testable statements do: AXRole/accessibilityRole

AOB

Next Meeting

Next meeting is 3 weeks, 6 July

regrets from Shane

ARIA 1.1 will hopefully be published by then

and the repository split
