Migration update

PF lists are closed

XTech stuff also moves to ARIA

Tracker migration under way, hopefully done tomorrow

Test planning

some test cases now in core aam https://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/testharness/testcases?testsuite_id=4

will do another test harness training

still want to do automated test extraction where possible

test files in github https://github.com/w3c/aria/tree/master/testfiles/1.1

Publication timeline check

want to do ARIA CR third week of March, just before CSUN

<scribe> new WD before 28 Jan

hopefully can do Core-AAM and AccName-AAM at the same time

probably none of the other AAMs or modules will go at that time

there are only 2 WG meetings before the 28 publication, with a number of pending edits

need to make sure to get the reviews in a timely manner

<Zakim> joanie, you wanted to ask about dates

(need 4 weeks comment period on the pseudo-LC, processing time, edtiing time, and transition request time)

there is an open question on whether to move footnote role from DPub to ARIA

need a decision on that in time for the end-of-Jan publication

running into problems with prefixing, duplicating

need to address those in the WGs

<Zakim> joanie, you wanted to mention we tossed out possibility of an ARIA 1.2

also want to publish updates of other docs roughly every 3 months

think about when your doc might be ready

Adopt an editorconfig? https://github.com/w3c/aria/issues/131

attempt to keep files neat by normalizing whitespace, linefeeds

(which makes diffs easier)

gets the settings the same

if the editor supports it

if someone uses an editor that doesn´t support it, a later editor will reformat the file

but that might create artifacts in the git history

can set some editors not to reformat lines not actively changed anyways

but best if we´re all on editors that keep the formatting

suggest to try this out in a sub-directory

if we decide to migrate, should to it in one

go

but perhaps not until after we finish 1.1?

is the risk of a big reformat by non-supporting tools increased?

<joanie> .gitattributes is the file btw

sounds worth trying in the practices folder, and once the kinks are worked out, pick a time to do for the whole repository

Michiel to propose the settings

Other source code style proposals

In SVG-AAM, Amelia does one line per clause

helps localize changes

but a pain if you have to do that manually

but very helpful to code tracking

let´s keep on the radar for doing after 1.1

keep in mind automating that style might create problems in code samples and stuff

Classes recognized by Respec: http://www.w3.org/respec/ref.html#classes

Other ARIA-specific stuff documented at https://github.com/w3c/aria/

AOB

none

Next meeting

Next meeting is Wednesday 20 Jan 2016 at 1:00 pm Boston

<scribe> new webex code for that probably, same password
