Annotation for a feature of interest --- and why do we need it at all?

Description:
SSN annotates Feature of Interest much more extensively. Is it deliberate to say less here? Why? Are rdfs:comments considered harmful? Also, when ssn defines it as an exactmatch to O&M "feature", shouldn't we use the O&M explanation here too i.e. " A feature is an abstraction of real world phenomena (thing, person, event, etc).". And if the sosa-core exaplnation is better, but has the same meaning, shouldn't we be updating the ssn annotation too?

The use of an example is nice --- can we introduce (or find) a useful annotation property for this purpose instead of overloading rdfs:comment? This would create a nice pattern for all terms.

Noting that the OGC definition for Feature here in sosa-core is a little too geospatial for our purposes (and feature of interest does not exist)
http://www.opengeospatial.org/ogc/glossary/f

In the O&M spec we see "feature:
abstraction of real-world phenomena
[ISO 19101:2002, definition 4.11]"
and feature-of-interest is referred to many times in the text, but not in the formal modelling, presumably because it is only a "feature" with a special role in relation to an observation.
