How best to treat owl:import statements in alignments

- Someone (Maxime I think ) raised a commented in the meeting this morning about how import statements should work in alignments.
We should do this consistently, and I suggest we use the dul alignment as a use case to set the pattern for the others we are planning.
Right now, for the dul alignment here https://github.com/w3c/sdw/blob/gh-pages/ssn/ssn_separated/dul-alignment.owl I unilaterally chose to do as follows:
<https://www.w3.org/ns/ssn/dul> rdf:type owl:Ontology ;
owl:imports <http://www.ontologydesignpatterns.org/ont/dul/DUL.owl> .
That is, import the external ontology but not import ssn explicitly. This made sense to me at the time but may not to others.
Should it be different?
