Statement of Interest for W3C Web and Digital Marketing Workshop Kazuhiro Hoya Research and Development, Technical Dept. Fuji Television Network, Inc. Fuji Television Network, Inc. is one of the largest commercial broadcasters in Japan, providing Terrestrial Television service, Satellite Television services, OTT Television services and VoD services. We are intensively working to fuse their advantages and maximize the media value. Meanwhile digital marketing have made great progress and spread its field wider, Broadcasters have still been “one way road” of advertisement and marketing, there is a gap between TV Ads and access to Ad campaign (web sites, apps and merchandising) in it. Hybrid TV service has launched in several countries including Japan, which would be a powerful technology and have potentials to fill the gap and provide seamless access from TV Ads to Web sites. It is interesting and promising that we and advertisers could collect and analyse inter-medium audience behaviour, which could open up new perspective of digital marketing. Standardisation of metrics and data collection will be helpful for that to research and develop it. We therefore are interested in attending the W3C Workshop for Web and Digital Marketing in order to: - Share views on Ad eco-system players and its structure - Learn about Data eco-system for promoting and improving programme productions and campaigns - Discuss future perspectives of broadcasting business as an advertisement platforms - Discuss scope and goal of standardisation of metrics and data collection.
