Ad-ID Statement of Interest

I would like to prepare a Position Paper on the need for unique Identification of Advertising assets.

I am Chief Growth Officer of Ad-ID, the the industry standard registration authority for advertising assets across all media platforms. Ad-ID is a joint venture of the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A's) and the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), and is used by over 2,000 advertisers in the United States, and last year over 300,000 unique advertising assets were registered.

As of April 1, 2014, all commercials produced for television, radio and digital platforms featuring SAG-AFTRA union members, must use Ad-ID as the sole standard commercial identifier.

Also, Ad-ID has developed a standardized XMP schema for Advertising assets, and is working with the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) on the use cases to leverage this XMP in the advertising supply chain.

I have personally co written 6 white papers on Advertising workflow, and interoperability for the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) and the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) they may be found at the bottom of this web page http://www.ad-id.org/advertising-interoperability.
