Basic Steps

Smarter use of the Web, e.g. these notes on ORCIDS, for example.

Include machine-readble relationships in the metadata (scope for collaboration between publishers and researchers).

Use persistent, dereferencable URIs as identifiers for things, relationships, phenomena - see OpenPhacts for example.

Work out a DDI-DCAT mapping?
