title: Conclusion

koshizuka: Public transportation info should be public
... but they are public company
... they say we are not government
... which is typical argument between us
... how can we apply open data principle for private companies providing public services like London?
... solutions are
... 1) regulation by government
... private company needs to open their data
... 2) fee-charging data
... 3) CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)
... I think public open data should be CSR
... who sahre the cost, who is the responsible for the risk?
... essential and important question
... from now on of us

jun: cost model - believe we have another cost model
... basically open data is open
... it can generate some benefit
... for sustainable system

koshizuka: Metro Open Data content costed only 2,000,000 jpy
... but @@ contest was over 10,000,000 jpy
... in case of metro event, transportation data is useful for people
... which is well received normally

jun: train system is private company. those companies are creating revenue. we don't have to call it as open one. they can generate data with coordinating with other companeis
... in addition to transportation business, they can sell datas
... it will be sustainable
... could be called open data as well
... is there a group to discuss which doesn't have to be open data?
... should it be call open data?

koshizuka: the situation of railway and bus company are totally different
... number of uses do not increase if we provide open data
... for train information
... but situation of bus might be different

jun: thanks

taisuke: please contact me if you have questions or anything at anytime
