Arnaud: any objections?
… Hearing none, the next meeting will be on March 30th
Arnaud: a bit of bad news…unfortunatelly, Steve has left IBM
…I’m in contact to his group at IBM, so I can get feedback from them
…but I will only do this if people have implementation and still want to continue working on it
…I thought Steve was about to write the test suite, but now it’s not going to happen
…FYI, he’s now at RedHat
Ashok: what happened John Arwe?
Arnaud: he’s still at IBM but he’s changed jobs
…at this point I’m the only one from IBM still involved with LDP
…I’m afraid paging will end up as a working note
Arnaud: i18n have raised 3 issues
…I got confused since they refer to section numbers that don’t really match the spec
…when I put the agenda together, the statement doesn’t correspond to section 2.7 at all
Arnaud: so we’re looking at issue-409, re. string matching rules
ericP: there’s no normalization taking place in RDF
Arnaud: our answer to the question is then “no”?
ericP: Yes
Arnaud: so we say that our tentative resolution is to say that there’s no normalization currently happening in RDF
TallTed: I just want to make sure that we’re not just addressing the example here
…the response to him doesn’t focus on normalization per-se
Arnaud: let’s look at issue-410
…they say “you might want to consider”..that’s pretty week. It sounds like a low hanging fruit.
…I’d be inclied to just say yes to this comment
<ericP> Turtle refs BCP47 for language tags
pchampin: I just want to make sure that there is no contradiction wrt to Turtle
<TallTed> roughly change reference to "BCP47 [ref], as used by Turtle [ref]"
Arnaud: next is issue-411
… we had a bit of an exchange on the list about it
ericP: I’m not entirely sure about this one
Ashock: there’s a mention to whitespace in the XML spec
ericP: yes, that’s what we used in SPARQL and Turtle
…my feeling is that they might be content with the discussion we had on the list
Arnaud: maybe you should reply to make sure we’re maintaining the status quo
…ok, so that takes care of comments. How’s the test suite coming along?
<pchampin> https://github.com/pchampin/ld-patch-testsuite
pchampin: it’s pretty much complete
…500+ tests, mostly coming from Turtle
…I think it’s complete now, my (python) implementation passes. I’m still waiting for news from Alexandre
ericP: is it because of utf16?
pchampin: yes..
…now we need to write a note about implementation reports
ericP: the LDP wiki pages has instructions on how to submit reports
… in the future we will handle most of this stuff through the wiki
pchampin: ok, so then I guess I’ll start with the wiki page
sandro: let’s make sure we don’t
put this on the LDP page, but on a general wiki
... since the LDP wiki will be frozen after LDP ends
…w3.org/wiki/ldpatch-testing?
pchampin: I’ll put it on the w3.org wiki then
Arnaud: anything else re. LD Patch?
*crickets*
sandro: Nandana is supposed to be working on it
Arnaud: Ok
Ashock: I’d like some help in sending out details and announcements to other groups
Arnaud: it’s not clear to me how many people know at this point
…I don’t have access now, but on Friday there were a handful of people listed
sandro: maybe you can also list yourself (and cancel later if you can’t make it)
Ashok: have you sent this information to the Social WG?
Arnaud: there are several communities like that we should contact
…the issue I see, for example, is convincing people to travel there
Ashok: that’s why we need to send the announcements as earlier as possible
ericP: are there any business groups at W3C that are related?
sandro: I’m looking at the wiki page and feeling a bit self-conscious about sending this to people
…I feel like it doesn’t speak to people who are not in the WG
Ashok: some suggestions might have gone “lost"
ericP: maybe something along the lines of “LDP offers a way to increase the reuse of data”
Arnaud: there should be a general
introduction of LDP
... ok, anything else?
