Updated RDWG Charter

<shadi> http://www.w3.org/WAI/RD/charter4

SA: have been some updates to Charter
... operating under group charter until AC have updated it
... scope unchanged
... some refinement to 2 (Deliverables) Was a Research Topcs Calendar and Catalogue, but these have been merged into 'Deliverables'
... other deliverables unchanged and there are links in the Deliverables section
... are behind on the Symposium Research Reports - and there is a link there as well
... are far behind in the Tips for Accessibility-Aware Research
... some shift in the Milestones - removed the tables and simplified this section - tables have been kept and this page can be kept for our own use
... this charter is not yet active, but hopes to get it to AC review this week with a number of other WAI working group charters. AC reps need to review these charters

SH: will speak to the AC rep at the universitiy of Manchester

have read through it this week and it looks fine

SA: Klaus and Annika, please read the charter through also, as we would appreciate your input

Status of current work

<shadi> http://www.w3.org/WAI/RD/

SA: have listed the deliverables on the home page
... Publications - listed current editor draft for first topic
... there is a lot of work to be done on the Wiki - pages on previous symposia need headers etc. Needs quite a bit of cleanng up. Catalogue items need to be merged with existing items.
... Vivienne has been looking at the list of symposia to list where we are at with all of them. Hope to have matrix on the Wiki soon.

we need to have discussions with chairs of symposia to see if there have been developments

SA: can add this to the matrix. For some of them there are no drafts, but for the 4 we have so far, they are on Shadi's end. There is editorial work to be done on these.
... Simon - any other things related to overall status. Co-chairs will be looking at the above

SH: nothing else to add
... most critical is to get these notes out. Without this we can't get enough people to contribute to the group. Need to finish one before we start another - essential for chairs of the symposia.

MH: need to get the official charter done

need to talk with other chairs of Way-finding to see what has happened. Transcript needs to be cleaned up. I will make a first pass at cleaning up the transcript.

SA: Simon what tool were we using to transfer Word to HTML.

<sharper> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pandoc

<sharper> http://johnmacfarlane.net/pandoc/

SH: tool is Pandoc - link above. Does conversions between documents and will tidy up HTML.

SA: hope to have more content work and interesting discussions during the telco

upcoming face to face meeting

SA: potential meetng opportunity at WWW in May - Thursday 21 and Friday 22 May
... can also look at other potential conferences
... can colocate with scientific conferences where people are going anyway

<mhakkinen> ASSETS 2015 Lisbon, Portugal October 26-28

SA: have a meeting room provided most of participants will be W4A participants
... who goes to Assets?

SH: go every year
... Markel, Yeliz (general chair), Luz, Giorgio (sometimes)
... Assets is normally a small 1-room event - may not have spare capacity for no cost

SA: WWW also sometimes depends on requirements
... need a host - maybe one early in year and one later in the year

AoB & Next Meeting

SA: need to track people's participation and 'good standing' situation. Direct contact may be the way to go. Tips for AWR is in initial concept draft stage. Need to develop a plan to see how it will move forward.
... tentatively keeping meeting times at Wednesday for January at least. We will provide other options to the group.
... next week there will be some organisational shifts in how we do things - same objectives but changing some mechanics.
... talking with Janina about Web of Things for a future next symposium
