agenda

<fsasaki> http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-multilingualweb-lt/2013Oct/0004.html

IMPORTANT items before this week's call

no objections to the agenda

<fsasaki> http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-multilingualweb-lt/2013Oct/0001.html

daveL: please vote for ITS (AC reps)

<fsasaki> NOTE: 23:59, Boston time on 2013-10-21 is the deadline for the AC review

<fsasaki> see summary of the schema issue from Jirka at http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-multilingualweb-lt/2013Oct/0002.html

daveL: we had NEL and spec is already changed
... it was a inconsistency and co-chairs agreed that this is a editoral change

<fsasaki> [FYI, see confirmation from Yves that the schema and test file change does not influence implementation from yves http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-multilingualweb-lt/2013Oct/0003.html ]

daveL: because doesn't change any implementation

Jirka: problem is that there is maybe other inconsistencies and maybe we could set the schema as non-normative
... to define which has more weight and overrule

fsasaki: one thing would be to say schema is non-normative - what is the other one?

daveL: just change the schema
... and leave it normative

<omstefanov> The change made in schema can be defined as an editorial correction, especially if all re-run tests show no changes. Changing the schema to non-normative may, though, require a next call.

fsasaki: Have another idea - go back to mike smith and ask if this change would make sense, as it doesn't make sense to have things defined at two places

<fsasaki> appendix d: "The following schemas define ITS elements and attributes and can be used as building blocks when you want to integrate ITS markup ..."

Jirka: people maybe could think that schema also covers HTML, which it doesn't, so maybe it would be wise to make it non-normative

<fsasaki> karl: what is - if we change to non-normative, is it an editorial correction or do we have to make a new last call?

fsasaki: don't know yet, both options could be a substantive change
... will talk about this with the W3C Management and presenting both options

omstefanov: we shouldn't have defined normative in two different places, so it is better to change it to non-normative

<pnietoca> +1 to what Olaf have said

omstefanov: and we should talk with the W3C if we have to do a new last call

daveL: it wasn't normative in ITS1.0

omstefanov: who did the decision to make this normative, as it wasn't normative in 1.0

fsasaki: in ITS1.0 it was just generated, so there we no discussion about this in 1.0

pedro: we are relaxing the recommandation, as we removing things and not adding
... the other way around would be much worse

voting about changes

<fsasaki> 1) are we happy about the schema correction that has been made

<fsasaki> 2) are we happy to change the schema annex to be non-normative, to be consistent with spec

<fsasaki> (schema was non-normative in ITS 1.0, no record of how the schema became normative)

+1 to both

<daveL> +1 for question 1 and question 2

<omstefanov> +1 to both

<pedro> +1 question 1 and 2

<Jirka> +1 to both

<Ankit> +1 for question 1 and 2

<fsasaki> +1 to both

<pnietoca> 1) Yes I'm happy with the schema correction, it was obviously a editorial change +1

<pnietoca> 2) +1 as Jirka and Olaf stated it makes sense

<omstefanov> do we also want to back this up with replies by all testers, that their test results are unchanged after the schema correction.

<fsasaki> ACTION: felix to go back to w3c mgmt with WG opinion on the changes [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2013/10/09-mlw-lt-minutes.html#action01]

<trackbot> Created ACTION-566 - Go back to w3c mgmt with wg opinion on the changes [on Felix Sasaki - due 2013-10-16].

deliverables

<fsasaki> http://www.w3.org/International/multilingualweb/lt/wiki/Deliverables#Deliverables_howto

pedro: uploaded pdf for 3.2.2 to the page
... HTML summary is in work

fsasaki: people from missing deliverables are not on the call, so moving to other questions
... is there a volunteer to review the work from tadej?

daveL: I can do it

<fsasaki> d 3.1.1 "Drupal Modules"

fsasaki: is there a volunteer to review the drupal modules (3.1.1)

tadej: I can do it
... can do it by next week monday

<fsasaki> "D3.1.5 Report on LT-Web Processing in the CMS"

omstefanov: where are the documents?

fsasaki: written to the internal partners mailing list

<pedro> http://www.w3.org/International/multilingualweb/lt/wiki/Deliverables

kfritsche: will send link for 3.1.5. around again

<fsasaki> "D5.1.1 Drupal MT Training Module"

kfritsche: working on it, trying end of next week

<fsasaki> "D5.2 Metadata-Aware MT Training Tools 3"

fsasaki: important is that we finish it within the end of October

Ankit: resending 5.2 to the list

daveL: can do this

pedro: can give a hand too
... only one comment, we agreed with vistatec - any change in D3.2.2 have to be done before 15.10.

fsasaki: this should have priority then

s/3.2.2./3.2.3.

f2f meeting

daveL: pedro send around a word document with all the details

pedro: If somebody can create the page, I will add the details there
... I waiting for a link from the hotel, for reservations
... we also need to create a agenda
... also I have to find two nice places for dinner

omstefanov: pedro can you send the details to me too, as I need to make the flight arrangement soon

daveL: will create the wiki page soon

pedro: I can send the email to you

daveL: We need to define the agenda and define what we want to present there
... in theory we shouldn't have any discussion open for the standard

fsasaki: depending on the first topic today, but hopefully not
... we have to discuss the outcome of the project
... finalizing "easy outreach" (like videos, or similar)
... defining objectives of the IG and organizational stuff for the IG (call times, meetings, ...)

daveL: make sure we wrapped up all deliverables, as this will be the last F2F before the last review
... fit very well with the topic what the overall message is

<omstefanov> Please, can we keep http://www.w3.org/International/multilingualweb/lt/wiki/Main_Page#Meetings up-to-date. Today's meeting is neither in Upcoming nor in Past.

daveL: we might want to get sure to separate all parts, so not everybody has to stay for everything if not interested in some parts, like IG

<omstefanov> Especially as the group winds up we should have the minutes and recording of all our meetings complete. People will soon be cleaning up their email archives, and expect to depend on the wiki to find things.

pedro: create a whitepaper (4-5 pages) with all the information we can use to spead the word

<fsasaki> [omstefanov, you are right, by bad]

pedro: maybe we could do a article in magazin and writing follow-ups each month for the different parts

<fsasaki> "D6.3.2 LT-Web Press Kit and Brochure"

<omstefanov> If Arle could have a draft of the white paper by Madrid, the draft could be part of the Madrid f2f agenda

fsasaki: I can talk with Arle about the white paper, which also could fit as D6.3.2

<fsasaki> ACTION: felix to talk to arle about outreach, see items http://www.w3.org/2013/10/09-mlw-lt-irc#T12-56-03 [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2013/10/09-mlw-lt-minutes.html#action02]

<trackbot> Created ACTION-567 - Talk to arle about outreach, see items http://www.w3.org/2013/10/09-mlw-lt-irc#t12-56-03 [on Felix Sasaki - due 2013-10-16].

fsasaki: for the magazine I'm not sure if somebody has the time to do this

pedro: we only need to discuss how this collaboration could work with two or three magazines till end of december

<daveL> I have to leave now.

<fsasaki> thanks a lot, daveL

fsasaki: we don't need a call next week
... will keep you informed about the first topic

pedro: daveL please tell me when the wiki page for the F2F is up, then I will add all the information there
