I and my colleague, Mr. Hayato Ozawa, would like to
participate to eBook WS held on 4th June.

We are in charge of promoting standardization,
and one of our focus is web standards.
We are especially interested in issues related to preserving
diversity of culture, like vertical layout in Japanese language.
Involving publishing/book industry is of our great interest too,
as teaming up with industry stakeholders is the key to
reflect their demand in specification.
With regard to above issues, we presume that discussion between
web technology experts and experts from book/publishing industry
is not enough so far.

We ourselves would not like to make presentation,
but we would like to serve roles to facilitate active and constructive
discussion between above two groups where appropriate.
