Agendum 1

LC-2770: Adding Caption First to Resources

AK; Funny buzzing

AK: GV and other worries about vendors
... What do we want to decide as a policy

MC: As Loretta said we already do list vendors anyway. We probably need to move the list outside the doc.

KW: Do we have a process to vet vendors?

<greggvanderheiden> how about this

<greggvanderheiden> http://www.ncra.org/Membership/content.cfm?ItemNumber=9131&navItemNumber=11459

<greggvanderheiden> this is a listing -- so we don't have to list specific companies

AK: The link to search on the page GV isnt working

LGR: Vendors are listed where we specifically say we do not say anything about us being responsible

GV: Well the problem is that vendor say they are on the W3C list - and how come I am not there, etc

LGR: It clearly says we are not endorsing any vendor, and then has them below this

GV: But most folks dont check if one company says I am listed on the W3C

LGR: I thought there was no other way

GV: We could point to a page that says there are CART association would probably be best

AK: We could let the CaptionFirst folks comment. I agree with Michael and find these mentions as an action for some date in the future
... I do not have a strong feeling one way or the other about this today

PK: Do we want to list folks w/o asking them?

Bruce on q

BB: This is not the time, this is a desperately needed resource - I would suggest we add this

LGR: David please add the Canadian resource

GV: I did a Google search of CART providers

LGR: If you want to put in a suggestion to do an internet search with their favorite search engine - for CART provider

AK: I would liek to not make this a bigger issue

<Loretta> Perhaps create a bullet item like we do for Web conferencing products and list the commercial pages below it?

AK: I propose we add Caption Fisrt to thislist, fix the link to the CART info .org and add an ACTION ITEM

<David> http://sovo-tech.com/

GV: Validating does not mean that it is accessible in any way - it says that

<korn> http://www.w3.org/TR/wcag2ict/#ensure-compat-parses

AK: Wehad some discussion on this in WCAG2 to ICT - this is about markup that is separably exposed to AT or a user-selectable user agent

<AWK> s/AK: wehad/PK: we had

LGR: It doesnt actually seem relevant to this particular comment
