<atemezi> scribe: james

1.1. Discussion of issues in the critical path: Data Cube

<bhyland> Proposal to accept the http://www.w3.org/2011/gld/meeting/2013-02-14.

<BenediktKaempgen> +1

<bhyland> +1

<DaveReynolds> +1

<atemezi> +1

<estephan> +1

<bhyland> many thanks to DaveReynolds for getting us straightened out on Mercurial

resolved: minutes acccepted

<DaveReynolds> no problems

<bhyland> I confirm that I got a clean check out today & have submitted successfully!!

<DaveReynolds> http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-gld-wg/2013Feb/0040.html

ORG

DaveReynolds: propose to close issue #49

<JoaoPauloAlmeida> +1

<HadleyBeeman> +1

<sandro> issue-49?

<trackbot> ISSUE-49 -- org:reportsTo is not acyclic -- raised

<trackbot> http://www.w3.org/2011/gld/track/issues/49

<estephan> +1

<Biplav> +1

<bhyland> RE: Tracker, see http://www.w3.org/2011/gld/track/issues/open

DaveReynolds: ISSUE-42 and ISSUE-50 completed

<atemezi> issue 42 http://www.w3.org/2011/gld/track/issues/42

<JoaoPauloAlmeida> that's a good solution

<bhyland> @Hadley - I'm updating these w/ comments to closed

<bhyland> @Hadley, I'm doing it through the tracker forms interface.

<HadleyBeeman> Thanks, bhyland.

<bhyland> @Hadley, there is probably a way to do it thru IRC cmds but I don't know them.

RESOLUTION: close ISSUE-51 based on clarifications from mailing list

<JoaoPauloAlmeida> James, ISSUE-48 should be closed as well, by rolling back the changes

<estephan> Great!

RESOLUTION: close ISSUE-48 by making range of org:reportsTo only foaf:Agent, not union of foaf:Agent and org:Post

<estephan> +1

<JoaoPauloAlmeida> James, the solution to ISSUE-48 is not that

<JoaoPauloAlmeida> it is exactly he union that solves the problem

<bhyland> @DaveReynolds, so Issue-45 goes to open from raised stat, correct?

DaveReynolds: closure of ISSUE-45 (remove the range on org:siteAddress) will be postponed while waiting for last bit of feedback

<bhyland> done

<DaveReynolds> http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-gld-wg/2013Feb/0041.html

<JoaoPauloAlmeida> James, yes

CORRECTION: ISSUE-48 will be closed, by keeping the range of org:reportsTo as union of foaf:Agent and org:Post

<HadleyBeeman> issue-55?

<trackbot> ISSUE-55 -- Use of prov:wasDerivedFrom -- raised

<trackbot> http://www.w3.org/2011/gld/track/issues/55

<HadleyBeeman> issue-56?

<trackbot> ISSUE-56 -- Check PROV semantic constraints -- raised

<trackbot> http://www.w3.org/2011/gld/track/issues/56

<HadleyBeeman> issue-57?

<trackbot> ISSUE-57 -- PROV use of invalidation -- raised

<trackbot> http://www.w3.org/2011/gld/track/issues/57

issue-55

<bhyland> So issue-55 thru issue-57

<bhyland> go to pending review status.

PROPOSED: send message to PROV WG with GLD's response to the three issues raised during last call

<bhyland> DaveReynolds: people are able to use provO and ORG side by side, but we don't need to do more to spell it out to successfully use them.

<estephan> Yes eric speaking

<estephan> +1

HadleyBeeman: calling for quick vote on draft

http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-gld-wg/2013Feb/0048.html

<HadleyBeeman> +1 to sending that text to PROV working group from our working group

<JoaoPauloAlmeida> +1

<DaveReynolds> Proposed: Proceed with draft message to PROV-O working as drafted at http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-gld-wg/2013Feb/0041.html

<Biplav> +1

<HadleyBeeman> issue-58?

<trackbot> ISSUE-58 -- Relate org:Organization to prov:Organization -- raised

<trackbot> http://www.w3.org/2011/gld/track/issues/58

<TallTed> +1

<DaveReynolds> +1

<atemezi> +1

DaveReynolds: ISSUE-55, ISSUE-56, ISSUE-57 can be pending review following positive response from PROV-O

<DaveReynolds> Resolved: Proceed with draft message to PROV-O working as drafted at http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-gld-wg/2013Feb/0041.html

<bhyland> https://www.w3.org/2011/gld/track/issues/58/

http://www.w3.org/2011/gld/track/issues/58

<HadleyBeeman> +1 to DaveR approaching PROV-O to resolve the two classes for Organization

DaveReynolds: approach PROV-O WG to determine whether owl:equivalentClass or rdfs:subClassOf is more appropriate for relating org:Organization to prov:Organization

<atemezi> +1

<estephan> +1

<JoaoPauloAlmeida> +1

1.1 Data Cube

<JoaoPauloAlmeida> Dave: prov also does not make explicit the relation to foaf

1.4 Best Practices

<HadleyBeeman> cygri, are you still here?

<HadleyBeeman> Ah, good

1.1 Data Cube

<DaveReynolds> JoaoPauloAlmeida agreed.

DaveReynolds: going through issues at http://www.w3.org/2011/gld/track/products/3

<bhyland> See Cube open issues: https://www.w3.org/2011/gld/track/issues/open

cygri: discussing whether or not to go ahead with ISSUE-37
... keen to align Data Cube with the latest changes in SDMX

… but it does make sense to postpone ISSUE-37 in light of priorities from other issues

DaveReynolds: WG should/can target Last Call on Data Cube for next week

<atemezi> @cygri: which kind of tasks are needed for upgrading ?

<bhyland> Per cygri telecon 21-Feb-2013, going to LC with Data Cube based on SDMX 2.0 would be acceptable. Cygri would prefer, time permitting SDMX 2.1, would make the quality of the vocab deliverable much better. He cannot guarantee this will happen but will make good faith effort to do so.

<bhyland> https://www.w3.org/2011/gld/track/issues/37

bhyland: would suggest moving agenda item 1.4 Best Practices to next call

<cygri> atemezi, what needs to be done is review the changes between SDMX 2.0 and SDMX 2.1 (there's a summary of changes document from the SDMX people), and decide what (if anything) needs to be done about these changes in Data Cube

<bhyland> EU Data Forum 2013 deadline to submit presentations, see http://2013.data-forum.eu/news/european-data-forum-2013-call-contribution

Working group housekeeping

bhyland: reminder about Face-to-Face planning for Galway

F2F3 - please update what you'd like to do vis a vis deliverables, see http://www.w3.org/2011/gld/wiki/F2F3

<DaveReynolds> Note that I'm not going to be f2f, at least not in person.

<bhyland> cygri: Conveniently timing of F2F3 comes just after the LC deadline per W3C process

<HadleyBeeman> DaveReynolds, are you available for dialing in?

<DaveReynolds> For at least some of the time, yes.

<bhyland> … up to LC deadline, comments can come in. When over, we have a full picture of what needs to be taken into account.

<atemezi> cygri, thanks. I thought I could help here but it seems to be is more work for someone knowing very well SDMX stuff

<bhyland> Suggested: LC deadlines be the 1st day of our F2F3 in Dublin

<bhyland> midnight before F2F3 day #1

<bhyland> That gives us 5 weeks before the end of the WG's charter.

<Zakim> sandro, you wanted to mention Last Call cross-group coordination

<bhyland> Deirdre reminded everyone that the deadline for presentations is Friday 22-Feb and for exhibits in early March

<cygri> atemezi, i think ISSUE-29 is the other critical one

<bhyland> Sandro: RE: LC - the Internationalization WG likes to review everything for internationalization issues … recommends we give them a heads up.

<bhyland> … advised other groups be given a heads up

Sandro: we should notify certain WGs e.g. the internationalization group, of upcoming specs

<sandro> sandro: (and negotate the review schedules)

<atemezi> thanks

<bhyland> @james - do you need help with publishing minutes? I'm still on line if so but you dropped off...
