feedback request on the draft

suggestion that we seek feedback on the term "set of software" for the last four SC

<Judy> For this Working Draft, the WCAG WG particularly seeks comments on:

<Judy> Key Terms defined in this document;

<Judy> Additional Guidance sections in this Working Draft.

<Judy> The focus of this review is on the Additional Guidance sections, which start with the words Additional guidance when applying and which are visually indicated with blue boxes, rather than on the wording excerpted from other WCAG 2.0 documents.

suggestion: "The Task Force has not yet developed guidance on how to apply four for of the A and AA success criteria to non-web software: SC x.y.z, ... All four of these share in common the concept that they apply in the web context when there are either "multiple web pages" or "a set of web pages" which share some common characteristic…."

"…Comments are invited proposing definitions for "a set of software" that matches the concepts of "set of web pages", as well as examples of any such "sets of software". Furthermore, comments are invited regarding what it would mean for these four SCs to apply in to non-web software."

formal announcements specifying the type of feedback we are requesting have already gone out.

could include this request about "set of software" in chaser notes - if we want to do that, we should make sure we list all of the items we want feedback on

should wait until after the holiday break to send such a chaser note - give time to think if there are any other topics we want to include - if send now, might get lost as people are focused.

<scribe> ACTION: Mike to put item on next year's agenda to consider whether we want to request feedback on "set of software" and any additional topics using a "chaser note" [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2012/12/18-wcag2ict-minutes.html#action01]

<trackbot> Created ACTION-86 - Put item on next year's agenda to consider whether we want to request feedback on "set of software" and any additional topics using a "chaser note" [on Mike Pluke - due 2012-12-25].

if we have an approach for conformance by then, could perhaps ask for feedback on the approach

open comments on the first draft

all have proposals except the two on conformance

should respond that we haven't addressed conformance yet, we plan to address conformance soon and will consider these comments at that time
