Statement of Interest I'm working with Harman Automotive in the CoC Connectivity. We are responsible for the connectivity platform, which is used in all Harman automotive head unit products. The platform consists of solution for phone, handsfree calls, PIM (Messages, Contacts, Calendar, Notes), Bluetooth, WiFi, UPnP, MirrorLink and Browser. Since 2 years I'm responsible for Online Applications. I developed a framework to use tablets to control car components. Therefore I'm using an HTML5 HMI which is running either on the Browser of the head unit or on the Browser of a tablet. During last few month I care about HTML5 online applications for usage in the car. For all these applications one major aspects is how to get access to car components from the browser. In that concern we have two different usecases, either the browser is running on the same machine as the car components do or on a different device, like a Mobile Phone or a Tablet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8EHSqgKa-k&feature=player_detailpage About HARMAN HARMAN (www.harman.com) designs, manufactures and markets a wide range of audio and infotainment solutions for the automotive, consumer and professional markets — supported by 15 leading brands, including AKG, Harman Kardon, Infinity, JBL, Lexicon and Mark Levinson.
