PhilA2: we can take a look at ORG from the last call..
... try to take a resolution on it? Dave R?

ORG

<DaveReynolds> http://dvcs.w3.org/hg/gld/raw-file/default/org/static.html

<PhilA2> Current draft of ORG is at http://dvcs.w3.org/hg/gld/raw-file/default/org/static.html

<cygri> for the record, i'm happy with the updated version going to LC

Dave: we asked poeple to review it 2 weeks back, so far we are adressing cygri review
... and try to go and take to a vote..
... Waiting for Bart and Michael review

Bart: The all process of going through the doc is not easy for hhim. They are trying to express "chains" to use ORG..
... he is happy as it is..
... for Bart it could be great to push it for LC

<sandro> (sorry, previous meeting is running late..... I'll join soon, I hope.)

<BartvanLeeuwen> can we do it without chair today ?

PhilA2: suggest to propose to take a vote to ORG for the chance for Last Call
... next week

+1

<BartvanLeeuwen> +1 for next week

<PhilA2> PROPOSED RESOLUTION: The WG will take a vote on next week's call on whether to take ORG to Last Call. Reviews are strongly encouraged before then.

RESOLUTION: The WG will take a vote on next week's call on whether to take ORG to Last Call. Reviews are strongly encouraged before then.

DCAT

PhilA2: Is Faadi available to talk about DCAT?

<BartvanLeeuwen> +q

<PhilA2> gatemezi: It would be good to make use of the Fr and ES folk in the group to produce localised labels for DCAT

<martinAlvarez> I'll translate it into Spanish

<Gofran> Sorry Fadi is stuck in another meeting

<sandro> +1 DaveReynolds the TR can be translated

cygri: 2 things to consider: he spec and the rdf schema
... for the document itself, tthere is a process for that at W3C

<PhilA2> RDF Primer translations http://www.w3.org/2003/03/Translations/byTechnology?technology=rdf-primer

<martinAlvarez> +q

martinAlvarez: they are in charge of reviewing the spec in other languages

<sandro> martinAlvarez: the W3C Offices check the translations

<sandro> sandro: Ah, great, of course.

<sandro> PhilA2: Localized language elements can be added to any schema at any time

<DaveReynolds> which reminds me, the changes to org means that the FR translation of literals is no longer complete

PhilA2: we can add localized labels to the vocabs later on

<PhilA2> Raised issues on DCAT etc. http://www.w3.org/2011/gld/track/issues/raised

cygri: has discussed with Faadi about DCAT, and he is the person to follow up the work when he is available

EU report

PhilA2: The EU Commission received positively the work of LE vocab, and they are promoting some other vocabs
... The good news is to spread the ORG ontology all over the EU nation
... just waiting to see the american side to also use the vocab as well..
... EU Commission was not happy for the new name we chose for the vocab, changing "Business vocab" to "Legal Entity"
... suggestion is to use " Registrated Company" vocab

DaveReynolds: what about the names of the vocab?

sandro: we likely to be sure to use a common term also for non european country..

PhilA2: The EU Commission is not able to register for a W3C WG...

<PhilA2> agipap:

agipap: we are starting to use ORG vocab, extending sth like "Physical Entity", because some of them don't have legal status and call them "Legal regristry"
... they also made a different flavours according to the Greece domain
... and they think sth general like the LE vocab

<DaveReynolds> +1 to PhilA - org:Organization is about as general as you can get. Sounds like the work is an ORG PROFILE in the sense of the ORG conformance section

<sandro> (as an example of a non-profit)

<Biplav> Have we considered http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business_entity? It has a nice set of definitions around the world.

agipap: will prepare in a couple of weeks a small dataset on how they modelled their domain

<agipap> publicspending.gr

agipap: prensents himself as a researcher in Greece working on the publicspending.gr project
... and provided a Greek version of "where my money goes"...

<sandro> Yeah, Biplav -- I think this vocab is just meant to include instances of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corporation

cygri: will be happy to help agipap to upload their dataset in thedatahub

agipap: the govnt gave them full access to their API
... the Greek govnt is very causius about the project

PhilaA2: Italy is also facing the same issue as in Greece re releasing dataset in LD

ADMS

<PhilA2> Current ed draft http://dvcs.w3.org/hg/gld/raw-file/default/adms/index.html

PhilA2: We haave a new version of the document http://dvcs.w3.org/hg/gld/raw-file/default/adms/index.html

Gofran: ADMS is a vocab to describe any ressource in a widely context, also ontologies, etc..
... ADMS describes metadata of metadata resources within govnt ..it is different from DCAT, because describe metadata on top of that

PhilA2: we need to have the WG approval, and need a couple of time to review the vocab

@Gofran: Is ADMS used in neologism?

Gofran: ADMS is supported in the new version of Neologism ...

<cygri> http://vocab.deri.ie/neologism/adms

<PhilA2> The use of RADion http://www.w3.org/ns/radion

Neologism: http://neologism.deri.ie/
