The role of the International Advisory Board is to provide independent and international advice on the governance of the ODRL Initiative as it moves forward developing new specifications and playing a significant role in the DRM sector worldwide. The governance covers the policies and procedures of the working groups and will include discussion on the merits of moving/merging the ODRL Initiative with existing standards groups. The IAB consists of a mix of people from the DRM sector (industry, research, and academic) as well as with experts in best practices from similar open standards initiatives.
