<Ashok> regrets Nuno, Eric, Ivan, Michael
<scribe> scribenick: cygri
<Ashok> scribe: Richard
<Ashok> PROPOSAL: Accept the minutes of last meeting http://www.w3.org/2012/06/19-rdb2rdf-minutes.html
RESOLUTION: Accept the minutes of last meeting http://www.w3.org/2012/06/19-rdb2rdf-minutes.html
<boris> +1
ashok: do we have final versions that we can publish?
juan: i reported some weeks ago
that there are some very minor issues in DM
... i will do this in the next couple days
<Ashok> Ashok: What about R2RMl?
<Ashok> Richard: Some changes are needed
cygri: will do it this week
<Ashok> Richard: Should be ready this week
ashok: why don't you create the draft ASAP, send an email pointing out the changes, asking for review
cygri: yes
ashok: we can try to publish quickly by the end of the week or possibly early next
<boris> http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/rdb2rdf/implementation-report/
boris: almost ready
<Ashok> Ashok: Status of implementation report
boris: need to fix some minor
things still
... still need to check toby inkster's report
... latest report includes all the implementations we have so
far
ashok: can you get final version this week?
boris: yes, ok
<juansequeda> +q to ask till when do we have to keep submitting earl reports.
ashok: looks like we have seven
implementations
... but some do one spec only
boris: yes. five for DM and five for R2RML
cygri: boris, what's the latest time by which you still accept reports?
<Ashok> Richard: Until when can I send a report ... what's the deadline?
boris: i generate the
implementation report automatically, so making the new report
is quick
... so just send whenever
<Ashok> Boris: Anytime, even Friday or Saturday
juan: i'd like to submit reports
for all major RDBMS vendors
... is next week still ok?
ashok: do it this week if you
can
... we just need "enough" reports
... so no great need for further reports
cygri: does the implementation report still need review from the WG?
ashok: we can leave this to boris
and michael. michael has done this for RDFa so knows how to do
them
... but of course can briefly look it over once we have the
version on friday
<Zakim> juansequeda, you wanted to ask till when do we have to keep submitting earl reports.
boris: are partial reports that don't pass everything ok?
ashok: my understanding is: yes,
per ivan
... each test individually must have at least two successful
implementations
<MacTed> +1 to all reports including those showing failures
cygri: to me it's also interesting to see that some implementations don't pass all the tests, we can learn which features are most interoperable, work best etc
ashok: to summarize, we should
have both spec drafts this week
... the R2RML changes needs a bit of review
... boris will produce implementation report too this week
ashok: this is optional, people
can find the test cases anyway
... but if we want, we can publish them as a note
... it's a bit of formatting, bit of work and so on
... boris, you'd be the one who would have to do the
formatting
cygri: i'm in favour if the
editors of the test suite would like to
... perhaps not so much work compared to what already went into
it
... but have to think about change management
ashok: we might still do that a bit later, e.g., next month
boris: i'd be happy to do it. it's a bit of work but should be ok
ashok: how about you prepare a
draft with the proper formatting, boilerplate etc
... process for publishing notes is not *so* much work
RESOLUTION: WG will publish the test cases as a WG Note
cygri: we have a suite of
validator test cases. one small test case for every way in
which you can break an R2RML file
... should we bring this into the WG?
... (we = D2RQ team)
ashok: i'd be happy to take this
on board because it helps implementers outside of the WG
... makes things easier to find
... let's talk about this further
... can you send us an outline?
cygri: ok, will do
ashok: when we talked about blank
node semantics in the DM, there was an action on Enrico and
Juan to publish a note on that
... that hasn't happened yet
... it's not a charter requirement, but speaking personally i
think it would be terrific to publish this note
juansequeda: i've been in
discussion with Enrico on and off for several months
... i've sent a draft outline but we don't really have
agreement
... i think it would be beneficial to write that
... i think this wouldn't be holding back anything else,
right?
ashok: would be good if you guys can publish something here
juansequeda: will continue and get back to the group as soon as there's anything to report

ashok: so after this week we
should think about the tc note and the blank node note
... when we get to REC then WG will basically become
inactive
... doing notes will become a bit more difficult once we have
reached REC
... but nothing to worry about really
... adjourned!
