Dates And How to get a Certificate of Completion

The course includes practical tutor-marked assignments (TMAs) that all need to be completed satisfactorily if you are to receive a certificate of completion. The course is designed so that the amount of work involved in the assignments varies so that you should be able to complete all of them, even if you need to give other matters a higher priority for one or two weeks (such as project deliveries or holidays).

Ideally we'd like you to submit each assignment within one week. This way you will have maximum profit of the course since the conversation in the discussion forum moves on more or less in step with the weekly modules so if you miss out on that then you will have missed out on crucial aspects and will not have truly "completed the course". The value of the course comes from 3 sources:

Dates for the March-April 2012 course

We set target dates for each assignment submission, which are the preferred dates to submit the assignments. And there are two general deadlines that are fixed: the first is mid-way through the course and the second at the end. The mid-point deadline is included so that participants do not leave everything to the last possible minute. Both deadlines are cut-off points, i.e. the date beyond which no new submissions will be accepted. You can submit till the deadline which is midnight at Hawaii time on that Monday. The time schedule for this course is:
