It is often useful to cite an email message on the public-prov-wg list.
Every email on the list includes a header such as:
Archived-at: <http://www.w3.org/mid/346013197E954418BFAE97DDA3330619@gmail.com>
that will link to a web page showing the message.
You may need to ask your email client to show "long headers" to see this annotation.
Some notes from Sandro:
If the email is sent to you AND the list, and your email system removes duplicates, then you probably wont see this header, because the one directly to you will usually arrive first, without the field being added, and block the second one.
You can also construct those URLs using the mid of the email. This allows you to know the link of an email before you even send it, if you have low-level access to your mail sending system.
