(Level A) 18:16:59 Intent: 18:17:01 Essentially, autoplay for media is off/paused, until the user 18:17:03 activates 'play'. Prevent media from playing without explicit request 18:17:04 from the user. For example, Uart, a screen reader user, opens a page 18:17:05 with an audio element that starts playing immediately. The user cannot 18:17:07 hear the screen reader because of the noise from the audio element, 18:17:08 and must search through the page to find the 'noisy' element to turn 18:17:10 it off (or pause). Once the screen reader is the sole source of audio 18:17:11 the user can read the page and determine if the audio is important and 18:17:13 choose to play it. 18:17:14 Examples: 18:17:16 1. one could use the same techniques that are used for pop-up blockers 18:17:18 to see if the play() request was from user interaction or a background 18:17:19 script. If isn't from direct user interaction, one could ask the user 18:17:21 to explicitly allow the media to play, perhaps remembering the choice 18:17:23 for the site. 18:17:25 2. playback of a
