PROPOSAL: Accept the minutes of last meeting, see http://www.w3.org/egov/IG/meeting/Project_3/2010-10-01

<gdick> I could join, or I could give D's list a little geographical context. Which would you prefer ? I think a map would be more helpful ...

<Brand> +1

RESOLUTION: minutes accepted

sandro, any news?

Linked Open Government Application Challenge straw man call

http://www.w3.org/egov/wiki/Projects/GLD_Demo/RelatedEvents

Michael: trying to define a profile for our desired target venue
... academic vs. practicioners
... size, location, etc.

sandro: maybe narrow it down based on 'where do all the cool people go'

<sandro> aka "thought leaders"

sandro: I'd probably focus on thought leaders-oriented rather than academic event (reporters!)

Michael: +1

sandro: maybe the bigger is better
... should be an international event

Michael: this list is open for other suggestions, please people contribute as well

K: we need more conferences

<gdick> ICT seems to fit http://ec.europa.eu/information_society/events/ict/2010/index_en.htm

gdick, yes that's one of the proposal on the list

ACTION-117?

<trackbot> ACTION-117 -- Sandro Hawke to check back with W3C legal about the organisation status -- due 2010-10-22 -- OPEN

<trackbot> http://www.w3.org/egov/IG/track/actions/117

Sandro: yes, checked back, and we're fine with it

close ACTION-117

<trackbot> ACTION-117 Check back with W3C legal about the organisation status closed

Michael: for people who have sort of committed please put it on the Wiki http://www.w3.org/egov/wiki/Projects/GLD_Demo/ChallengeDraft#Judge.27s_Prize

sandro: check conferences against if judges would be able to attend

<sandro> try to find out the highest profile folks at each conference --- look for possible judges, and presence of judges we've thought of.

AOB

[adjourned]

<sandro> sure.

thanks a lot!

trackbot, end telecon
