ISSUE-44: Add a mechanism to the RDFa API to parse remote documents and place them into a DataStore.

Processing remote documents

Add a mechanism to the RDFa API to parse remote documents and place them into a DataStore.

State:
CLOSED
Product:
RDFa 1.1 API
Raised by:

Opened on:

Description:
At the moment, there is no mechanism to load and process external documents that contain structured data. There are two possibilities that have been explored to date:

1) The XMLHttpRequest mechanism could be used to retrieve document text and then pass the text to the remote document, falling back on CORS to ensure protection from XSS attacks.
2) RDFa proxies could be used to ensure that cookie information isn't used to access information from public-facing websites.
3) We could ensure that browsers don't send any cookie information when performing a remote document retrieval by default. If the developer requests that cookies are sent, then CORS semantics come into play to prevent XSS attacks.
