Dear Peter,

the Working Group has considered your comments about allowing FROM and FROM NAMED clauses after the SERVICE clause and we think that it would be useful. Unfortunately the Working Group has very tight deadlines and there is no much time left for implementing your suggestion now. During this week we are voting to go for CR/PR and implementing such changes would require another Last Call for the Federation document. In despite of that, will add your comments as work to do in a future SPARQL Working Group.

Dear Peter,

the Working Group has considered your comments about allowing FROM and FROM NAMED clauses after the SERVICE clause but we opted for the current design for simplicity. In despite of that, the group will investigate more about how datasets will interact with the new federated query form. In that way it will be studied that a future SPARQl-WG adds your comments to the document. Besides of that, the Working Group has very tight deadlines and there is no much time left for implementing your suggestion now. During this week we are voting to go for CR/PR and implementing such changes would require another Last Call for the Federation document.

We would be grateful if you would acknowledge that your comment has been answered by sending a reply to this mailing list.
