antoine: some discussion on labeling policy, but can just continues discussing, anyway it is published as CR so may get feedback in coming weeks
15:17:53 [aliman]
guus: what are issues?
15:18:29 [aliman]
antoine: i changed a lot of labels (rdfs:label) and tried to put some verbs and prepositions, e.g. broader is now "has broader concept"...
15:19:44 [TomB]
I can scribe!
15:19:55 [TomB]
scribenick: berrueta
15:20:14 [berrueta]
Guus: suggest to continue discussion on the list
15:20:35 [berrueta]
Antoine: other issues still remaning
15:20:56 [berrueta]
... firstly, owl2 actions. Got some feedback from I. Herman
15:21:04 [berrueta]
... continue discussion on the list
15:22:10 [aliman]
antoine: [previous] ...done for all object properties, because ambiguous in direction, but not done for all properties because literal properties less
15:22:12 [berrueta]
... anyone has comments on the owl2 issue? (none)
15:22:15 [aliman]
scribenick:aliman
15:22:30 [aliman]
antoine: contributors to first schema: nikki rogers and dave beckett
15:23:10 [aliman]
...wonder if still ok to be mentioned, found it weird, must have been involved in first version but now file has changed, but danbri mailed them asking, nikki is happy with it, no news from dave, also will be settled in next weeks
15:23:50 [aliman]
guus: isn't dan brickley also contributor? others are also contributors? in that sense very icomplete list
15:24:01 [aliman]
.. either cut it out or make it complete.
15:24:14 [aliman]
antoine: could make it complete, add 20 names
15:24:39 [aliman]
guus: ok, then we make it complete
15:24:50 [aliman]
antoine: i think it would be less than 20 names, make it easier
15:25:07 [aliman]
alistair: just include from this WG, or previous WG?
15:25:21 [aliman]
guus: hard to be complete, don't know who contributed what
15:25:51 [aliman]
..can we put in URIs, SWAD-Europe, SWBPD, SWD, three contributing groups
15:26:10 [aliman]
alistair: also public-esw-thes@w3.org list are contributors
15:26:34 [aliman]
guus: can contributors be links?
15:26:55 [aliman]
antoine: yes, tom made comment that in current schema they are literals, not really best practice, tom can you confirm?
15:27:27 [Guus]
suggest to include links to SWAD-Europe, SWBPD, SWD and plublic-swd as dc:contributor
15:28:03 [aliman]
guus: let's keep this open
15:28:09 [aliman]
...any more about ontology file?
15:28:15 [aliman]
antoine: that's everything
15:28:42 [aliman]
guus: any outstanding actions for SKOS Primer?
15:29:16 [aliman]
antoine: two comments since published, one about comments in turtle code (ivan h), one from alistair on sparql queries, propose to add as editorial changes in next version, ok?
15:29:35 [aliman]
guus: as long as trivial editorial changes, error corrections, then it is fine. just keep the change history.
15:29:44 [aliman]
guus: leave use cases.
15:30:12 [aliman]
guus: SKOS Implementation report
15:30:14 [aliman]
...we have text from sean on tools, do we also want text on vocabularies? or just ask for uri on vocabulary?
15:30:28 [aliman]
guus: need a structure?
15:30:45 [aliman]
guus: alistair, could you draft text for call, i'm happy to comment.
15:31:01 [aliman]
...also earlier link from our site, but description maybe too complex.
15:31:17 [ed]
ed has joined #swd
15:31:28 [aliman]
...we can ask for a listing of the constructs they use, but don't ask too many questions, shouldn't be any real burden to submit.
15:31:42 [aliman]
ACTION: alistair to write draft message call for implementations and issue to the list
15:31:47 [Zakim]

15:32:18 [Zakim]
+edsu; got it
15:33:15 [aliman]
antoine: looking at call for use cases format. i opened text for call for use cases we issued 2 years ago, look at what we asked for vocab descriptions at the time, some items useful but basic, e.g. title, general characteristics, languages. then other things, like ways it is used, main constructs...
15:33:23 [aliman]
guus: use this for inspiration
15:33:34 [aliman]
antoine: 3 first items, then asking about constructs used
15:33:40 [aliman]
alistair: sounds good
15:34:09 [aliman]
guus: suggest leave implementation report. alistair if you can distribute message, we can distribute before next telcon.
15:34:18 [aliman]
...only thing holding us up.

antoine: main web page?
15:36:15 [aliman]
guus: no, wikipedia page
15:36:26 [aliman]
...two things to do now?
15:37:08 [aliman]
antoine: maybe first briefing about main page, i've actually explored it last week, did a number of updates, in principle should be ok, new CR documents are mentioned, i also cleaned some links to the old version, no refer to new version.
15:37:17 [aliman]
...alistair could check that?
15:37:25 [aliman]
alistair: thanks for that
15:37:28 [aliman]
guus: looks good
15:37:44 [aliman]
guus: just leaves wikipedia page...
15:37:58 [aliman]
antoine: i cannot do anything for that, in next days or weeks
15:38:33 [aliman]
antoine: alistair, you did something?
15:38:44 [aliman]
alistair: yes, then updated by bernard vatant i think
15:38:56 [aliman]
guus: needs to be reorganised
15:39:01 [aliman]
alistair: quite out of data
15:39:18 [aliman]

TOPIC: RECIPES
15:41:18 [seanb]
seanb has joined #swd
15:41:52 [aliman]
diego: there is a small error in the current note, problem is user agent is taking precendence over accept header. so agents are served with html even if requesting rdf. not a very serious problem, because users don't change accept header of browsers, but maybe a problem in future if user installs plugins for browsers e.g. tabulator ...
15:42:14 [aliman]
...so it's worth fixing.
15:42:56 [aliman]
...i would appreciate a second opinion on my proposal, i think it's correct but i'm not sure.
15:43:08 [aliman]
antoine: personally i was happy with what you did, solved my specific problem.

diego: new editors' draft for review by WG?
15:43:41 [aliman]
guus: you propose a new version of the note?
15:43:47 [aliman]
diego: yes, right step
15:43:54 [aliman]
guus: we can supersede previous note
15:44:06 [aliman]
diego: i will update current draft to new one, then send to mailing list for review
15:44:24 [aliman]
guus: please update the change history, we can just review the change, and vote on it either next time or 21 april
15:44:27 [aliman]
diego: ok
15:45:01 [aliman]
...btw i check this morning, check accept header by IE8, just released this week, still sends same accept header as previous versions */*, accept anything.

15:47:41 [aliman]
guus: ian horrocks replied to our last call comments, link in agenda
15:47:57 [ed]
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-swd-wg/2009Mar/0058.html
15:48:26 [aliman]
...basically they agree with our comments, are preparing one new document (overview), want to include also in syntax document other syntaxes.
15:49:17 [aliman]
...they ask us to respond to this, understood in coordination group there will be new last call for owl anyway, normally i would ask for us to see revised documents, but we will have an opportinuty anyway. so i propose we respond positively, with a remark we would like to see revised documents.
15:49:42 [aliman]
...they have new features document which currently doesn't contain rdf syntax, i don't think they want to do this, i would be in favour to do this also.
15:49:47 [aliman]
+1
15:50:02 [aliman]

15:50:19 [aliman]

guus: sean, we already discussed implementation report, alistair will draft a message, also with indications on how we expect people to respond on skos vocabularies, have feedback on list first, then send out to all mailing lists we used for previous notifications.
15:52:33 [aliman]
...antoine has suggested we draw on previous call for use cases.
15:52:43 [aliman]
...congrats for CR spec.
15:52:49 [aliman]
sean: congrats to all
15:53:32 [aliman]
