Current mature drafts

  • XBL2 - expecting to return to LC in 2010, then CR in 2011, and REC in 2013. This is assuming a test suite magically appears in that time frame. If it doesn't, then REC might be delayed until we can make one; making a test suite for XBL2 will be a pretty complicated effort as the spec has lots of subtleties.

Current drafts in development

All of these are being developed in sync with HTML5, and thus are expecting FPWD ASAP, LC in October 2009, CR in 2012, and REC sometime between 2012 and 2022 depending on browser priorities and the development of test suites.

  • Web Workers
  • Server-Sent Events
  • Web Storage

Possible future drafts

A rewrite of DOM Range might be necessary. If it happens, it'll probably be FPWD in late 2010. Beyond that it's hard to predict at this time.
