Communication
For discussion of matters related to DOM3 Events, the WebApps WG will be using the www-dom@w3.org mailing list (archive), and meeting most weeks for a teleconference.
Goals
The goal of the DOM3 Events sub-group, part of the WebAPI Working Group, is to complete the DOM3 Events specification according to market needs, to drive its adoption and implementation, to provide a compehensive test suite (for implementability at least, and hopefully for interoperability, too), and to move it along the Recommendation Track to W3C Recommendation status.
It is expected that the completion of the spec itself, and the progress to Candidate Recommendation status, will occur by Q4 2009.
Resources
The current editor of the DOM3 Events specification is Doug Schepers of W3C. Tests are being prepared by Carmelo Montanez of NIST.
We should also take into account the studies at Quirksmode.org.
Teleconference
There is a recurring weekly telcon, which may be attended by any member of the WebAPI Working Group. Doug Schepers <schepers@w3.org> will chair. There is a dedicated IRC channel associated with all meetings, and the minutes will be scribed and made public after Member review. (Note, the time of this telcon may be subject to change, depending upon feedback by the participants.)
Agenda
Agendas will be sent out via email each week.
Day and Time
Wednesdays, 21:00-22:00 UTC. Please adjust according to your local time.
The definitive time for the teleconference will always be listed on the W3C Calendar, so check there if there's some uncertainty about the time.
