The W3C Web Applications (WebApps) Working Group is chartered to create specifications that enable improved client-side application development on the Web, including specifications both for application programming interfaces (APIs) for client-side development and for markup vocabularies for describing and controlling client-side application behavior.

We appreciate feedback on our work and charter through the public-webapps@w3.org mail list (archive) and the #webapps channel (logged here) on the W3C IRC server (irc.w3.org, port 6665).

The WG tracks its issues in public, using the mighty Tracker.

• A distributed eventing mechanism to allow for transfer of events between networked devices
• An advanced pointers interface, to expose distinct features of specific devices such as pen/tablet inputs and multi-touch trackpads.

Meetings

The WebApps WG holds some topic-specific regular telcons and face-to-face meetings.

We will publish minutes for each telcon (teleconference) in public. See the list of WebApps telcons.

Issue Tracking

The WebApps WG uses the W3C Tracker tool to keep track of issues and actions on various specifications, using the following Tracker Guidelines.
