I think that the documentation could usefully say not only

The MIME type of the resource (e.g., wrapper or bucket media types).

but go on to say

"ideally including as much information as possible about the resource as possible, for example using the "codecs" parameter [ref needed]"

(I hope to introduce a "types" parameter so that MP4 files can indicate their overall compatibility, reflecting the compatible_brands in the ftyp box)
