Wayne: The rehabilitation act of 1973 is met better by WCAG 2.0 than 1999 508. There is a mapping from 508 to WCAG 2.0 Sufficient Techniques.
Doyle: They would like it because it is easier to read.
Jack: How long will it be until it gets to the next state.
Sharron: Why do we need "the guidelines are fairly short... 2.0 Documents are previously long"
When will WCAG 2.0 be done? What is the current status.
Sylvie: Isn't this a place to link to the explanation of the candidate reccomendation (internal link to an explanation further in the FAQ, or a link to the paragraph explaining what is a candidate recommendation in the How WAI Develops Accessibility Guidelines through the W3C Process: Milestones and Opportunities to Contribute page ?

Wayne: Need to look at WCAG 1.0 checkpoints vs. 2.0 levels: Failure to meet 1.0 checkpoints left people out or made their lives very difficult. The WCAG 2.0 Levels A+ are enhancements. Level A gives full accessibility.
