I am a professor of Bioinformatics at Carleton University. My principal research interests are in developing a computational platform to support personalized medicine, and this involves, in part, the design and development of more sophisticated approaches for both knowledge representation (from molecules to genes, diseases to treatments), knowledge acquisition and data integration, as well as new methods for knowledge dissemination and question answering. Hence, I am interested in the application of OWL towards the design of expressive, distributed knowledge bases on the semantic web. More details are available at my website.
