Day 1

  • 09:00 - 09:15 Welcome, local arrangements, introductions
  • 09:15 - 10:45 Publication Schedule review of and vote for resolution to publish Primer, Fragments and XML Serialization as First Public Working Drafts. Necessary outcome: List of editorial changes to be made before publication on April 8.
  • 10:45 - 11:15 Coffee
  • 11:15 - 13:00 Publication Schedule review of and vote for resolution to publish Primer, Fragments and XML Serialization as First Public Working Drafts (continued).
  • 13:00 - 14:00 Lunch
  • 14:00 - 15:45 Roadmap and design principles
    • Issue 51 Language Name
    • Issue 100 Should there be valid OWL DL ontologies that can not be expressed as OWL DL ontologies in RDF graph form
    • Review timeline
    • Are we going to try to do a last call in 4 months, and if so are we happy with the tradeoffs that may need to be made.
    • A backwards compatibility goal: Take an OWL DL 1.0 ontology O, serialize it to RDF and reverse map to an OWL DL 1.1 ontology O' in functional style syntax. O and O' have the same models as defined by their respective semantics. Possible exception: Annotations.
  • 15:45 - 16:15 Coffee
  • 16:15 - 18:00 OWL 1.1 Full Semantics Issues
  • 18:30 - 19:15 Drinks/Dinner

Day 2

  • 09:00 - 10:45 RDF Mapping Issues
    • Issue 17, Issue 18, Issue 65 & Issue 68 object and datatype role punning / property typing / vocabulary duplication / mapping rules are non-monotonic
      • Proposal: no object-datatype role punning
    • Issue 89 & Issue 19 In the RDF mapping (*,rdf:type, owl:Class) triples do not map to axioms / declarations
      • Proposal: Declarations map to rdf:type triples
    • Issue 66 mapping inconsistencies
      • Proposal: round tripping preserves models
    • Issue 86 RDF/XML serialization for anonymous inverse properties
    • Issue 94 Issues surrounding roundtripping
      • Proposal: round tripping preserves models; it may not preserve structure if this is incompatible with other design goals
    • Issue 96 OWL-1.1 vocabulary naming in RDF mapping is not consistent
  • 10:45 - 11:15 Coffee
  • 11:15 - 13:00 Other Issues
    • Issue 3 & Issue 46 anonymous individuals / Unnamed Individual Restrictions
      • bnodes possible in positive facts, but set of facts involving bnodes must be "forest shaped"
    • Issue 16 entity annotations
    • Issue 72 Annotation Semantics
  • 13:00 - 14:00 Lunch
  • 14:00 - 14:50 Task Force Report: Imports and Versioning
  • 14:50 - 15:45 Task Force Report: User Facing Documents
  • 15:45 - 16:15 Coffee
  • 16:15 - 18:00 Additional Features, including Easy Keys, Rich Annotations and N-ary Datatypes

Possible topics

  • Approve FPWD of Primer, Fragments, XML Syntax
  • RDF mapping
    • Strategy: Work on xslt as primary work product?
    • coverage (are all OWL 1.0 DL ontologies in graph form mappable to OWL 1.1 DL)
    • "monmonotonicity"
    • backwards compatability
    • use of reification
  • relationship between DL and Full semantics
    • retention of previous characteristics
    • characterisation on OWL 1.1 extensions
  • importing
    • versioning
  • annotations
    • "no semantics"
    • rich annotations
  • Additional features
    • EasyKeys
    • N-ary data predicates
  • Steps to Candidate Recommendations for documents
    • Notes versus Rec
