zakim, this will be DAWG
14:27:38 [Zakim]
ok, LeeF; I see SW_DAWG()9:30AM scheduled to start in 3 minutes
14:27:42 [AndyS]
The code behind the factory will tell you what it actually does.

Meeting: RDF DAWG Weekly
14:27:50 [LeeF]
Chair: LeeF
14:27:52 [AndyS]

14:27:55 [LeeF]

14:28:16 [AndyS]
It's not changed for ARQ2
14:28:20 [LeeF]
Agenda: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdf-dawg/2007JanMar/
14:29:02 [LeeF]
When I started writing my SPARQL stuff last year, I promised myself that I wasn't going to write any parsers (other than the SPARQL parser itself, of course), and I was going to write the bare minimum of graph code that I needed to handle CONSTRUCT and that's it :)
14:29:08 [Zakim]

14:32:57 [LeeF]
Not loved by the W3C phone system
14:33:27 [SimonR]
Drat. I was kind of hoping my recent trade-up to ADSL2+ was going to solve all my telephony problems....
14:34:07 [LeeF]
zakim, who's on the phone?
14:34:07 [Zakim]

14:55:44 [Zakim]
Attendees were AndyS, LeeF, Simon_Raboczi, Orri_Erling
14:55:48 [LeeF]
Short meeting due to limited attendance, topics discussed:
14:55:53 [AndyS]
AndyS has left #dawg
14:55:55 [SimonR]
Adjourned at 14:55Z.
14:56:09 [LeeF]
AndyS: Many of the rq25 changes made; need to talk with ericP about some section 11 changes
14:56:33 [LeeF]
... reviews always encouraged, perhaps people can choose specific section that interest them in reviewing to ease the review burden
14:56:54 [LeeF]
LeeF: I'll talk to Kendall, Steve, and others to see where their ability to review currently stands
14:57:19 [LeeF]
... optimistically/speculatively might hope to have reviews of near-final rq25 next week, decision to publish last call in 2 weeks
14:57:45 [LeeF]
Orri offers to look over the protocol document
14:58:24 [LeeF]
zakim, agenda?
14:58:24 [Zakim]
I see 7 items remaining on the agenda:
14:58:25 [Zakim]
1. convene [from LeeF]
14:58:26 [Zakim]
2. Review ACTION Items [from LeeF]
14:58:27 [Zakim]
3. test suite [from LeeF]
14:58:29 [Zakim]
4. rq25 status and reviews [from LeeF]
14:58:30 [Zakim]
5. protocol status [from LeeF]
14:58:33 [Zakim]
6. Road to Last Call [from LeeF]
14:58:34 [Zakim]
7. Minimal test suite? [from LeeF]
14:58:36 [LeeF]
zakim, take up agendum 7
14:58:36 [Zakim]
agendum 7. "Minimal test suite?" taken up [from LeeF]
14:59:26 [LeeF]
SimonR: I think that a small set of carefully reviewed tests would encourage more people to look through the tests and be more likely to test the specific parts of SPARQL that need to be tested - bigger is not necessarily better
14:59:49 [LeeF]
... maybe we could even annotate the end of each section of the QL document with the relevant tests for that section to aid readers/implementors
15:00:14 [LeeF]
LeeF: Concerned with schedule because we're looking to publish LC and CR specs before the test work is finished
15:00:43 [LeeF]
AndyS: Concerned with additional administrative work that will delay schedule -- in this case, time needed to agree on "core" tests
15:00:47 [ericP]
zakim, please dial ericP-617
15:00:47 [Zakim]
ok, ericP; the call is being made

SW_DAWG()9:30AM has ended

15:02:33 [LeeF]
<General agreement that in an ideal world ending up with a core set of tests is probably a good idea, but time and energy prevent us from doing it at the moment.>
15:02:54 [LeeF]
LeeF: Anyone with time / energy can annotate the test manifests with :featuredTest markers down the line and produce a minimal test suite from that
15:03:08 [Zakim]

15:07:39 [AndyS]
EricP - you can edit sec11 when you're ready. My edits now should be v localised and handlign Souri's grammar point (i'll try to remove the recursion without changing anything else0
15:14:59 [ericP]
AndyS, roger that
15:15:25 [ericP]
what was souri's grammar point?
15:21:12 [LeeF]
It's in the document attached to http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdf-dawg/2007JanMar/0088.html - it's about the palcement of periods in SPARQL queries
15:25:58 [patH]

Can be removed with a ()* - I've been promising that for a while. Already done objectList and PropertyList (not mentioned by Souri).
15:27:33 [ericP]
AndyS, did he have a proposal for a non0recursive grammar for '.'? ?
15:27:41 [AndyS]
Mostly, he talks about <DOT>
