Objectives of ITS
Summary
• Ensure that XML tag sets support international use (eg. bidirectional or ruby markup)
• Ensure that XML tag sets support localization needs (eg. translate flags, translation notes, etc.)
• Guide designers of XML tag sets and content developers away from translatability problems.
• Ensure that localizers and other formats can recognise the meaning of tags in a tag set.
