Webinar System
The webinar system used for these events has been developed by W3C.
Audiocast Compatibility
The audiocast is using an Icecast
Server. The format of the streamed audio is mp3. Any player supporting
streamed mp3 should be able to listen the audiocast. The following players
have been successfully tested :
- Windows system : Winamp
- Linux system : XMMS, Totem, realplayer. You may need to install
gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mp3 package.
- Macintosh system : iTunes, VLC

Slidecast Compatibility
The slidecast application, developed by W3C, is an AJAX application. Any
browser with AJAX support (javascript enabled) should be able to use it. the
following browsers have successfully tested :
- Firefox 1.5.x (windows,linux,macintosh)
- Internet Explorer 6.x (windows)
- Konqueror 3.5.x (linux)
- Safari 2.0.x (macintosh)
- Opera 9.x (linux,windows)
A test webinar is always running for test purpose. When entering the
webinar you should see a slide and hear the sound.
