In an email dated 6 January 2008, the chairs published a new policy. Essentially:
You should add yourself to the line for the telecon date of the telecon regrets page if you will miss that meeting and one of the following is true:
- You are an Invited Expert
You are a Principal Representative and none of your Alternates will attend
Your participation is important for some topic likely to be discussed. In this case, you should also e-mail the chairs.
If there isn't a line for the meeting, just add one.
The chairs further request that you indicate regrets at least four days in advance (ie before each Friday morning), so that we can more effectively plan the agenda for the telecon.
The official record for regrets has always been and will continue to be the meeting minutes, this mechanism is used simply to communicate regrets to the group.
