Logistics
Everything from here down is probably no longer relevant
registration closed May 3.
Some notes on the registration form and the offered transportation service:
You don't need to forward your travel details to hotel Maestral; the registration form is also for gathering all the information from the F2F3 participants and we (Axel, Paula, Sandro) will send to the hotel the whole list (of course, after May 3).
- The transportation service offered by the Maestral hotel can be used also by the persons accompanying the RIF meeting attendees (like family members); you can add information on this in the 'special details' field when filling the registration form.
Teleconference Information
Remote participants should be able to join via the usual teleconference mechanism. (Zakim Bridge +1.617.761.6200, conference 74394 ("RIFWG")). The bridge is available Thursday, 8 Jun - Friday, 9 Jun, 2:00am-1:00pm/06:00-17:00 UTC.
Meeting Infrastructure
The following will be provided for the meeting:
- U-shape classroom style meeting room
- Projector
- Projector screen
- Wireless internet connection
- Telephone line
- Flipchart
Also, there will be bottles of mineral water in the meeting room during the F2F3; 2 coffee breaks per day and lunch are also organized.
Travel Information
For booking flights to Montenegro already, find travel and airport information at the ESWC2006 webpage.
Among the airports mentioned on that site, probably Dubrovnik is the choice with most international connections. This includes for example daily connections to London, Paris, Frankfurt. Dubrovnik is also connnected to Bratislava and Budapest via Skyeurope, who offer low priced flights all over Europe. Moreover, for people traveling from Vienna there are direct flights to Podgorica and Dubrovnik by Austrian Airlines.
Cheap connections from Germany can be found here: https://www.hlx.com

ALTERNATIVES
More hotel options and rates are to be found on the ESWC2006 webpage.
BUS TRANSFER FROM AND TO THE AIRPORTS
- Hotel Maestral promised to offer cheap transport from the airports in reach by organised buses. We are currently negotiating the exact conditions. The conditions below might still be subject to change, but note that the deadline for booking this transport will probably be early in May already, where you will need your exact travel dates (arrival/departure).
- The hotel will offer bus transfer for the meeting delegates traveling from airports: Tivat, Podgorica and Dubrovnik to Hotels: Maestral, Kraljicina Plaza, Mediteran, Sajo and Panorama and from the hotels to the airports.
- The price for transfer (per person one way) is 20 EUR.
- The deadline for reservation will be early in May (please check for updates on this page!).
The rate of 20 EUR seems very reasonable. Compared to that Taxis are very expensive there: From Budva (7 km) - around 12 Euro. It takes approx 1.20h to get to Maestral from Podgorica and approx. 2 hours from Dubrovnik.
- It is not yet fixed whether we have to collect the departure/arrival dates ourselves and send it to the organizers at once, or whether there will be a form for this on the ESCW website for all individuals to register for transport independently. FWIW, Sandro has already prepared a (members only) Wiki page where you can enter your travel dates already (Note that only entering the data is not yet a reservation confirmation!):
NOTE: Probably, the ESWC organizers will provide a registration form for room and transport reservations (We will update information on this page accordingly).
