A Business Rule is a Rule that specifies a business transaction to be carried out based on sets of identified criteria (e.g., conditions met but some objects involved in the transaction). It may be a Production Rule or a Logical Rule as the implemented systems might be.
Relevance
Several members of this WG are motivated with echanging Business Rules.
Impact on Design
State change is central to Business Rule computations and formalizing this is important for a RIF to be valuable.
