= Pop-Up Support in mobile web browsers=

Pop-Up support in web browsers running in a mobile device show quite different behaviours:

In general, pop-ups should be avoided for universal web browser support (using instead simple hyperlinks, for example).

Take into account that client-side scripting (JavaScript, ECMAScript, ...) is not supported in Mobile Web Best Practices 1.0 Basic Guidelines' Default Delivery Context (as it is not supported by XHTML 1.0 Basic) and that pop-ups usually mean loss of context for users' experience and this is more critical when dealing with mobile devices due to their limited resources (screen, web browsers' features, ...).
