ISSUE-79: References and Sources

References and Sources

State:
CLOSED
Product:
Best Practices Document
Raised by:

Opened on:

Description:
There is a section References and Sources which is present on some sections.
Except in a couple of cases the only related points noted are those from WCAG.
Philipp has observed and I agree strongly that the document would have a greater
degree of authority if statements were supported more directly by secondary sources.

Equally if we don\'t do that it looks rather odd only to refer to the WCAG points.

So we have three options:

a) remove these sections altogether [and possible do a cross reference to WCAG
as an appendix]
b) leave them as they are
c) populate them more completely.

I favour c) but really don\'t personally think I have time to go back and review
the source material again, at the same time as folding all the issues and
actions into the document for Boston.

Proposed Resolution

either: a) Split the statements up among the group, like the testing stuff and
have the group review the all referenced documents and note which of their
allocated statements correspond to which sections in the referenced documents.

or b) Split the referenced material up among the group and have them do a
concordance with all statements in the BP doc.
